This website was created to showcase my independant music which is composed originally and individually recorded and then combined to form an instrumental. A few of them were lucky enough to make it on the Discovery Channel and a tiny bit on 97rock, that doesn't happen all the time, but I worked really hard and had to be non-social to do it for a while, I spent each day, for hours at a time putting them together. But much like Love in our lives, your Love for music is never questioned by yourself but it is doubted at times.

Music is a great escape and one of the greatest freedoms we have left. Alot of people now days do music on the computer playing virtual instruments, with the Studio Underground each one is composed using real instruments and I consider any other method cheating yourself. Computers don't make music, you do - or do you?

 

Drum Videos (Just recorded 6/27/2009)

Some people along the way ask me to teach them drums specifically, I can only teach you the basics, it's up to the person to have the heart to practice alot and work hard at it. I don't play in a band right now, though I have had offers it has to be the right people situation. I have posted videos playing along to an ipod live for people who just want to see playing first. It helps to watch others play, go out and see bands too and above all, always include playing along to music in your daily routine, but still include just you practicing with no music also.

All videos will now be in Flash video format making it easier to play them. IN order to appreciate them, you have to have some good speakers with BASS and the treble not turned up too high. Cheap computer speakers won't do.

Recorded Instrumentals

Playing will eventually not be enough for you, now you have come to your next phase in music which is recording yourself. This is what happened to me. As an example, here is an instrumental I did called Social Unrest, the instrumentals do have a story behind them. I composed bass, drums, some electric guitar and keyboards in this one. It's mysterious and that's how it was intended but listen to the finished product :
